There are now two main versions of Linux being used on sub-notebooks, which are SuSE Linux and Linux Xandros. For anyone wanting to install them, there are already recipes on the Internet which will aid you with the installation of alternative versions of Linux on sub-notebooks. The real challenge for many users is how to cope with the change from Windows XP or Vista to Linux. You’ll find there is a learning curve, and Ubuntu may have come up with the first answer to that learning curve.

It seems like all the rage in personal computing lately is the mini laptops or netbook. These netbooks are tiny when compared to many current laptops. The trend for a number of years was to increase screen size and performance, with laptops ballooning out to as large as 22 inch screens and 9 to 10 pounds total weight. This trend has reversed and now small and light are catching consumer’s eyes.

Great Little Netbook, Great little netbook. Takes place as promised, with a long battery life and graphics great. More importantly, it is a gift for my nephew College, and loves him.
